Afghanistan as a country has been a lost cause for decades....we weren't
going to change that. Our war there was all about revenge, which I was find
with, by the way. We should never have even pretended to try to rebuild
that country or to make it better in any way. We owe that country and it's
people nothing. THe minute the Taliban were scattered and it became
apparent that we were NOT going to capture Bin Laden in that country, we
should have left. I grow tired of this "haven for terrorists" mumbo jumbo.
There will ALWAYS be a haven for terrorists...if not in Afghanistan, then
somewhere else. This idea that we can somehow blow up enough shit that
there will no longer be terrorist havens....is stupid.

WE should have cut our losses and left years ago. That place is hopeless,
and there's nothing we can do to change that.
