So today I started an elective class, Introduction to Web Development (figure
it will be an easy A and will help raise my GPA) and there is already something
that stands out. The book I am required to use - Site Development Associate:
Academic Student Guide - in addition to the website that I have to use for my
tests and lsbs are VERY pro MS. Neither the book nor the website ever mention
the Safari browser or MAC's. And, the applications that I have to use and that
the website offers for download are ONLY offered in Windows format. I have to
go online to find the MAC version of this software, like Linx for instance.

So my question is this: Since I have not actually stepped inside a classroom in
years, are windows PC's the norm in the classroom labs? I seem to recall a time
when I would visit my daughters computer labs that they had a lot of MAC
workstations. Of course this was years ago since she is almost 22 now. I am not
complaining really. If I ever HAD to use a windows machine for class I have an
old Acer that still works. Just wondering.
