I can only assume you meant this American Society was never built on the slavish worship of ignorance, hatred, wealth and privilege that the current party worshiped.
Which I actually missed in his original message. All I can say to that is that you both seem to enjoy painting with extremely wide brushes. I think the people he explained are more of the (extremely) vocal minority and are not necessarily representative of most republicans. Just like Chris Matthews is not really representative of most democrats.
