All valid points, except that I think Trump has more influence than you give him credit for. I know people who parrot (and believe) what he says - thankfully, a small group. But Trump has kind of become the face of the 'Crazy GOP'.
With Chris Williams and anyone else on MSNBC, you kind of have to pass everything they say through the 'Liberal scrubbing' filter, just like you have to pass everything on FoxNews through a 'conservative scrubbing' filter. Sucks that we have to do that, but if you know it going into the game, it does make it easier. Again, what Williams said on Election Night was incredibly dumb. I have tried to rationalize what he was trying to say, but I really have no idea what point he was trying to make. I think he misspoke...in a way that should not happen from people in his position.
