Yes, in versions before 2007, you could include some special characters in
the OU name.  From 2007 and up, they remove the allowance.  Microsoft has a
tool that will allow you to remove it, however their documentation states
that it is to be used, "in a lab environment only" and research has
returned no examples of this being successful.

Oh, and the local "Exchange rock star" is the one that put the period in
the name in the first place.  At least the one at the IT vendor we're
allowed to use.

The PST concept is going to be cumbersome.  We've found one other product
called "DigiScope" that will do the move at the EDB (Exchange Database)
level and are looking at a demo of that as well.
