Oh man, sorry to hear that, but yeah our parents play a large roll in our
upbringing and if religion is a big part of their life, you will have to
deal with their short comings.

Mine though it best that I decide my own religion and while they are some
biproduct of Christianity, I've found that some things worked towards a
good up bringing and other pieces so stupid it negates the rest.

I will do the same, for some it helps them deal with life, for me, it's a
nuance that falls into copy write, patents and other things that keep us
from reaching the next level of existence.

FYI; Another 10 years and we will cure cancer...
