I think two of the reasons that Cam mentioned are big factors: - the cost of transportation has gone way up in the last 10 or 15 years - the cost of labor in countries that are now advanced in their development has gone up
Not nearly the divide in costs between foreign vs. domestic production today as there was even just 10 years ago.
