Just in case you haven't heard, most of us will be making move towards paying our fair share in 2013. The FICA tax cuts implemented 2 years ago expired. As a result, they rate will move from 4.2% back to 6.2%. I have talked to several people and for them, this is about a 100 dollar decrease in take home pay. Doing a quick calculation on my salary, this seemed to be in the neighborhood.
The nice thing is that no party is to blame. Neither party voted to increase the rate. Of course, neither voted to stop the restoration. Winning!
