I can honestly say, I've never met an atheist that wanted to destroy the 
beliefs of anyone.  Atheism is a religion so nobody's out there on mission 
trips trying to convert people.  I think our main mission is to keep religion 
out of public policy.  I guess you could construe that as trying to destroy 
peoples beliefs?


of course, living in Texas, take your original phrase, replace atheist with 
christian and remove the "don't" and you've got a pretty good truism.
