ahhh ok .it's a long thread and I guess I didn't go back far enough. so your evidence for your argument is that in some places, you cannot buy beer on Sundays.
what about recognition of a divorce .that seems to go against the religion. what about being allowed to work on Sunday? what about all those things in the Dr. Laura joke? Yes, religion influences our laws. So do a lot of other things. I think the biggest influence on our government was living under a monarchy. That had nothing to do with religion. So, I stand by my assertion that the bible isn't relevant to legislation today. We don't need to be told not to eat shellfish. We don't to know the correct way to sell our daughters off. What lessons can we learn that are specific to the bible that deal with issues we have today?
