Again...going to the ER isn't healthcare...they only treat the immediate
problem. Saying you can get your healthcare by going to the ER is the
biggest lie propagated ever. Medicade and medicare are set pretty low.
Other than minimum wage workers...that is out of the question. Not all areas
have Charitable hospitals. Those are great where they exist. When I lived
in Louisiana they had them. Here in IL...nope. Charitable contributions
are not doing it. The problem with quoting charitable contributions is that
also counts contributions to churches. Most of what is contributed to
churches goes to admin costs...not charity.

IT has already gained root...the majority of people in this country think we
should have universal healthcare. The stupidest thing I have ever heard in
the whole healthcare debate is this tax burden thing. What is the
difference between getting money taken out of your check in taxes or getting
money taken out of your check for an insurance premium? That is a really
fucking stupid argument. When you spread the costs of premiums out amongst
a larger base (ie spreading the risk over a wider base), premiums go down.
People want to kill Obamacare before it even has a chance to be fully
implemented because you believe all of the stupid bullshit and propaganda
from the insurance industry and the moneyed interests in the Republican
party.

While your information is what the media and the left would have you
believe. Hospitals must treat you by law. Federally medicaid and medicare
cover millions, and states have additional prograns in many cases. We are
also among the highest levels of charity contributions, which contribtes as
well.

Your Scandanavian idea will never gain roots here. Those countries are
socialist, the real kind. Their tax burdens are insane and our constituency
will never allow it. There are very real problems with health care, but the
government hasn't been the answer yet, and I seriously doubt it ever will.
Too much money and too many companies and corruption in our legislature.
The pharmacutical industry alone throws millions of dollars at making sure
they get their way.

I don't know what the answer is, but this certainly isn't it.
