I used to work with a guy who had very liberal views, with one exception, abortion. He was against every other republican ideal, except abortion - and because of that, he was a registered republican and voted down party lines in every election.
I have know others who do the same thing, but with the democratic party (and different issues). People like that sometimes make me wish voting was not a right, but something to be earned.
