How has it gone corrupt? How much experience have you had working
either in a scientific lab or as a scientist? Better yet, have you
ever worked with a funding agency, or worked on a peer review
committee (your grant application has to go through a blind peer
review before receiving any NIH or NIMH grants and funding - fairly
typical for science funding).

For that matter can you even explain how the grant process even works?

Yet in your omniscience you see that it is corrupt.

There you go folks, lets just pack up the labs and go home he has seen
the future.

Sorry forgot the <sarcasm></sarcasm> tags.

Theory no facts. That seems to be the basic difference between many in
the republican party and their sympathizers, its the ideology that
determines their reality, not the facts or empirical data.

The live drone feed over Benghazi is a good example of this. (Hint
there never was one, except in the minds of certain right wing
commentators). Or Birtherism, or global warming, or evolution, or
reparative/Conversion therapy come readily to mind.

And yes many on the left suffer this too. For instance the attitudes
regarding Keystone XL, nuclear energy and childhood vaccination.

But it really does seem to be more prevalent with Republicans.
