"Anyone who thinks that actors don't work has obviously never been on a
film set."

Several things about this.

Sam was talking about earning, not working.

Since when are "hard work" and earning "correlated". An illegal immigrant
picking fruit probably "works" harder than a successful actor. That illegal
alien does not earn anywhere nears as much.

A hardcore class warfarist would unequivocally say that actors (or
professional athletes) should not earn more than teachers.

Back when high gas prices were the President's fault (for those of you who
forgot, it was George Bush's administration), the progressive statists were
bitching that oil company CEO's made tens of millions per year. They never
bitched about actors who made tens of millions per year. These CEOs
"work" by managing multi-billion dollar companies with tens, if not
hundreds, of thousands of employees. Do they "earn" these tens of millions
of dollars per year? Should they "earn" more than an actor? Good
discussion material for sure.

Finally, I said "a lot" of actors. The term "a lot" is ambiguous enough to
mean the "majority" or "more than you think". It does not mean "all".
