Same here. CFB on the mac is very stable and reasonably fast. There are
ways to improve the thing. Go through these two blogs about speeding it up

I had recently uninstalled CFB and reinstalled it using it as a plugin, and
while before it was reasonably fast, it blazes on the 64 bit version.
