Partisans following an election loss are hilarious in their postmortem's. Without fail, they feel they lost because they weren't partisan enough.
Independents can only shake their heads with bemusement, and wonder if they will be voting Democratic again next election because the GOP actually listened to these people and decided to become MORE confrontational?? Generally this is not how it works. The quiet machinery behind the scenes that really runs the GOP (and any party) will generally get a more clear determination of what went wrong, and quietly steer things back in a more reasonable direction. This is why our political pendulum continues to swing. I expect a cleansing of the Tea Party, and other factions that refuse to compromise, in the coming years....and we will have a Republican president again....perhaps sooner rather than later. A staunch liberal on another list i'm on has declared the Republican party dead...he's dancing a jig. I just smile at him and shake my head. Turns out, partisans following an election WIN are just as hilarious :) On Tue, Jun 4, 2013 at 2:10 PM, Sam <[email protected]> wrote: > > The polls are left leaning but that's not the issue.
