You mean all Democrats believe, like Rep. Henry Johnson (D - Georgia), that
the island of Guam will tip over if you put too many people on it?

Or how about John Kerry, when he said “You know, education, if you make the
most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to
be smart, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”

What about Rep. Barbara Lee (D - Calif.) who says that global warming is
going to turn women into prostitutes?

How about the myriad of things said by Shelia Jackson Lee, things like
asking the NASA administrator if the Mars rover could send back pictures
from where Neil Armstrong stood and planted the flag? Or saying that
there's a North and South Vietnam?

Then there's the head of the DNC, Debbie Wasserman Schultz:
When the House Judiciary Committee considered adding an amendment to
include attacks against military veterans to hate crimes legislation,
Wasserman Schultz said that would be belittling to gays, blacks and Jews:
“I represent one of the largest gay populations in the United States of
America. One of the largest Jewish populations in the United States of
America. Our region has a very large African-American population. It
really is belittling of the respect that we should have for these groups to
suggest that members of the armed services have somehow systematically been
the victims of hate crimes.”

Does that mean that Republicans don't say stupid things? No, it just means
that the crazy gets spread around a lot.

Two quotes to leave you with:
Suppose you were an idiot. And suppose you were a member of Congress. But I
repeat myself.
- Mark Twain, a Biography

Congressman is the trivialist distinction for a full grown man.
- Notebook #14, Nov. 1877 - July 1878

All Congresses and Parliaments have a kindly feeling for idiots, and a
compassion for them, on account of personal experience and heredity.
- Mark Twain's Autobiography; also in Mark Twain in Eruption

Until Later!

Every cloud does have a silver lining. Sometimes you just have to do some
smelting to find it.
