The phone poll is measuring consumer opinion. The link Sam posted was discussing stock prices. He's conflating the two, and claiming an 80% increase in consumer spending. There was actually a 6% increase in revenue driven by a marketing payment from Papa John suppliers. There was no increase in consumer purchases of the product, but no clear decrease either.
My son used to work for Papa John's. They treated their employees like crap long before the Affordable Health Care act was passed. Nothing new here.
