Let's do a summary.

The bill was written in private committees with big donors, insurance
companies and pharmaceutical companies. When it was ready it was 1000 plus
pages and they voted on it very quickly in the House. I think maybe three
or four Rhino's voted yes and the rest no. Then it went to the Senate. They
changed it and voted. All R's voted no. Then it went back to the house.
There, Reid, Pelosi and a few others, but no Republicans, had locked door
meetings sometimes going through the night. When they finished they
released it and voted on it within hours. That is why Pelosi said you have
to pass it to see what is in it. No Republicans voted yes. At that time the
Dems controlled both houses and the presidency so it was pushed through
even though nobody wanted it. The next election the Republicans gained over
60 seats in the house, mainly because of Obamacare. That was the largest
mid-term gain since 1938.
