Columbus never wrote that he raped and murdered people. He never wrote that he took 500 slaves, nor that he cut off hands and noses. He also didn't create a slave trade, that was already booming. He didn't mention small pox and its killing of millions. So I'm guessing you got that info from another source. Maybe that was de Bobadilla, the guy that wanted CC's job.
