Some actual studies into the issue. I found the self-affirmation counter strategy to be interesting. There is one thing that the studies seem to show, and years of watching CF Community posts would certainly back this up....that you simply cannot persuade a believer by pummeling them with facts. But make them feel good about themselves......? And now you've got a shot.
