I am forced to have to use apache for a client and I am having issues
getting it installed. This is on Win 7 Ultimate 64. I have stopped and
diabled IIS, yet it still has a process running that I believe is
interfereing with Apache from running properly.
When I copy over the apache dir to my c drive and go through dos and type
httpd.exe -k install...I get this error...
Errors reported here must be corrected before the service can be started.
(OS 10013)An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its
acces
s permissions. : make_sock: could not bind to address 0.0.0.0:80
no listening sockets available, shutting down
Unable to open logs
When we looked at what was running on port 80, it showed that IIS was stioll
running, despite being disabled and stopped. I am at a loss here.
IT's been a LONG time since I have run Apache on windows and I need to get
this up and running.they have a bunch of screwy rewrite rules, hence the
need for Apache. Anyone have any ideas?
Eric
