That's a sweet bass. I've been playing bass for over 50 years. I've found this site very helpful, both for beginners and for old folks like me to add new chops.
http://www.scottsbasslessons.com/ This web site has some great articles and stuff. I read it almost daily: http://www.forbassplayersonly.com/ Also, go to youTube and listen to the greats: James Jamerson, Jaco Pastorius, Geddy Lee, Leland Sklar, Stanley Clarke, John Entwistle, Victor Wooten, etc. Get an idea of the style you want to learn. The best bass advice I received was from my father, who was a session player during the 50s and 60s. He said "play what you hear, but only half of it". On Thu, May 29, 2014 at 12:00 PM, C.
