Hamas is one of the parties that make up the Palestinian Authority, aka they're government.
There have been Israeli casualties, the media just isn't concerned with those. Thankfully Israel has one of the best antimissile systems in the world. The Palestinians have multiple other borders, it's not like the Egyptians or Jordanian are lining up to help. Man I've walked there dude. Talked to both sides man. Without a recognition of Israel's right to exist nothing will ever change. The Israelis have continued to compromise to the point that we now have a real two state solution. I don't see what else they are expected to do.
