I dunno...i hear this argument a lot....the religion is just a cover for
bad people to cause mayhem and gain power. And perhaps that is true in some
cases. But by in large I think most of these people ARE driven by their
religious ideologies...and if we could somehow magically wave a wand that
killed God......a lot of these people would forget why they hated each
other in the first place.

The siblings squabbling over who Dad likes best is a great
analogy...because if you equate the father to God, and removed him from teh
situation....meaning the kids are no longer siblings.....they would
probably stop fighting.
