Agreed, and I think this is where a lot of the push back is coming from. Many of us,myself included were raised to never strike a woman, for any reason. To do so would be considered cowardly.

When I was training in Taekwondo, if I had done to someone what Ray Rice did to his fiancee, my Master instructor and Grand Master would have beaten me half to death themselves.
