I've said some of this before, sorry for repeating but it fits with this thread
Used to have a Pakistani Muslim co-worker. wished him an "easy fast" at the start of Ramadan. He was amazed that I knew anything about it. I said that we should all try to learn about different cultures and respect them and each other. We got to talking about the similarities between our cultures and faiths, and both benefited from it.
