Great! Mine too, whenever they happen to arrive. here is the basic question - both to you and hatton: What is the harm in children knowing that same sex couples exist? We aren't talking about teaching kids about the ins and outs of gay sex - we are talking about teaching them about families that might be different from their own and teaching them tolerance (I hate this word because it implies that gays are something to be barely tolerated) and kindness to others, no matter what their sexual orientation. It doesnt' preclude a parent saying "Mommy and Daddy think that this is a crime against God" (although if it is why not let god deal with it) or "Mommy and Daddy think that its best if families have one mommy and one daddy". All it does is set up a kid to not be phased, disgusted, horrified or shocked when "Heather has two mommies". If anyone thinks this is a bad thing, for kids to accept gay parents without hating or fearing them or being shocked by them please explain why. I just don't get it. Just because your kid doesnt' know about it, doesnt' make it go away and just because you don't like it doesnt' mean its not good to know about it either. For example I think white supremacists who hate my people (jews) suck. My kids will know about these people.
