Yummy. A breakfast brew! They need to publish the recipe. Someone will
brew up a batch for public consumption. I'd like to try it.

Subject: Ancient Egyptian beer

just heard that Kirin (Japanese brewer) claims to have
deciphered the original Egyptian hieroglyphics for their
traditional beer recipe (4,400 years old).

they have brewed a beer with no foam, the color of dark
tea, a flavor supposedly reminiscent of white wine, and
10% alcohol (about twice that of standard beer).

Doesn't use hops, so not bitter. Based on barley.

It's called "Old Kingdom Beer".
Just done for "research purposes" and to present at a
Master Brewers conference in Texas, not for commercial
production.
