All intelligent dogs are terrified of ferrets. They are quite fierce and know it. My Louisal used to torture the dog. She would give him a false sense of security and entice him to sniff and then WHAMMO she would grab his snout in her little arms. He would turn and run and she would grab his tail, hanging on and getting a ride. Of course he ran faster. She would eventually hop off the train, do her happy dance, laughing at the success of her ploy and then once again, turn her back to the dog, giving him a false sense of security.
