Hi, If you remember a few weeks ago there was a discussion about the Microsoft Action Pack (http://members.microsoft.com/partner/salesmarketing/PartnerMarket/ActionPac k/actionpack_standard.aspx) where you got not for production versions of the following for $300.
Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server Microsoft Exchange 2000 Enterprise Server Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Microsoft Small Business Server 2000 Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server Microsoft Mobile Information Server 2002 Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2001 Microsoft Windows XP Professional Microsoft Office XP Professional with FrontPage Microsoft Visio 2002 Microsoft Project 2000 Microsoft Publisher 2002 Microsoft MapPoint 2002 Well it looked like a good deal so I decided to order it. The package came in this morning. While some of these are automatically going into the garbage can (i.e.., Publisher and FrontPage) I am wondering which is the better version of some of them. For instance is Office XP better than Office 2000 (which I'm already have on the home machines)? Or is XP Professional superior to Win2K? Given that this gives me a chance to finally set up the home network properly, I'm open to suggestions about this. thanks, larry -- Larry C.
