I went through that last year. When I was in high school I lived with my Grandparents and had a rescue Fox Terrier Beagle mix from the pound. It was my dog but I soon moved out and left him with them. Grandpa was especially close and after he died he was all Grandma had. Last year Grandma called and told me that Digger had suffered enough (Back, hips, teeth, and some sort of tumor on his tail) so would I come over after she leaves for work and take him to the vet to be put to sleep. Then clean up the house so she doesn't see anything when she comes home. I took my wife with me to get him and say goodbye. He was all happy and actually wanted to play and was excited about the ride in the Jeep. I completely lost it at the vet trying to sign the papers.
My wife now has this living will so that I don't have to sign any papers or do anything if something was to happen to her or our daughter. The vet gave us the ash's and grandma spread them over grandpa's grave and on here plot. So I guess they will always be together. Had to put my dog to sleep after having him for 10 years. He was a great dog and very faithful to my family. http://hamiltondotcom.com/corky/ Still so hard to come downstairs in the morning and not see his happy face! <sniff sniff> It was so hard to take him to the vet and have it done, but he was in so much pain, couldn't walk due to the fact that his hips had gone out a while ago...couldn't control his bowels...etc... After going through this, I don't know how anyone can bury a child....ack...if I even think about having to do that I think I will start crying again... Anyways... Thanks for listening guys... ~~ Stephenie (today the S is for sad.....) ______________________________________________________________________ This list and all House of Fusion resources hosted by CFHosting.com.
