Shelters and their operators are usually amazing people. Two of our ferrets
have come from shelters. Ferret shelters at least are usually run on
strictly a volunteer basis, 24 hours per day, seven days a week, without any
time off or support from outside sources. How they do it I don't know, but
they have my respect.
