First, concert proceeds are where artists make their money. Record
sales all go to the company, because of the 15% "breakage" fees, which
are a standard parts of roylaties. From the old days when records
broke a lot...now all it does is reduce artists portion of the
royalties by 15%. How often do cd's break?
