I've gotten VERY good at detecting spam patterns based on subjects and other
headers. A thought that came up at the CFUG last night is to make a CFPOP
call to a mail account to get only the message headers, run those headers
through an anti-spam template and have it delete all spam posts. What will
be left is a relatively clean mail box. You can then download the mail with
your mail reader of choice.
There are a few variations you can use, but they all run down to these basic
facts:
Some domains are spam domains and should be blocked.
Some subjects are spam subjects and should be blocked.
Some mailers are spam mailers and should be blocked.

the 9/11 themed SPAM I just got.
