Worse, it has actually required more letter carriers for a given route, since now _every_ household gets some mail. And they are pressured by their bosses to make sure the junk mail gets delivered. It has a higher priority (due to political and financial pressure) than other mail. I also complained last week to the USPS since a very important letter (a jury notice from a state I don't live in anymore) was placed by the letter carrier inside a grocery store flyer. Since I throw all flyers away, this was also thrown away. I was fortunate to have my garbage bag rip while carrying it outside, and while rebagging, I noticed the letter. The Post Office manager said that they sometimes tuck letters inside flyers "So it fits easier in the mailbox". I wonder how much other important mail I've thrown out? Why, oh why don't they think of the trees? Jerry Johnson >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 09/12/02 10:28AM >>> > In most cases, the junk mail is not actually _mailed_. We get that over here as well, you see the postman having a pile of the junk mail in his hand and taking one off to add to the letters at every house he delivers to This means that "junk mail" is now "junk hand delivered", it just happens to be the postie who is hand delivering, so does that that mean that we get our mail later because he has to add the junk to every house?
