What is your proposed solution? How is this different than Don King offering an inner-city boxer $200k to get his head beat on for 10 rounds, risking brain damage, and then Don King making $3M from the deal? Sure is a lot of crack-rocks to sell to make that kind of coin, and with your logic, that would be the fighter's only alternative given they've probably had to deal with deadbeat fathers, drug addicted mothers, poverty, and gangs. We better intervene with more laws and jail sentences - the problem should go away then.
Same logic as the drug war - let's not question the demand at all, because if we can rid ourselves of the suppliers everything will be merry.
