I get enormous amounts of SPAM (in my Hotmail), and the vast majority of it is HTML email. The majority of it is porn too, thought there are pleanty of other kinds of scams. The thing I find so discouraging about it is that it is all about lying - i.e. tricking people in to visiting a site or in other ways playing on people's desire to get something for nothing. They certainly are out of control.
