It's been supervised by a Rabbi or some other authority who certifies that it's 
kosher. It hasn't come into contact with anything not kosher, or been pickled on 
non-kosher equipment, or been cut with a non-kosher knife ... The sauce it's in is 
made with kosher ingredients.
