just a comment: what these guys were doing was an attack on people's sense of security, people who had never been literally or figuratively a target before.... in that way it was similar to the Sept. 11 attacks. I tend to agree though that calling them terrorists is sensationalizing, unless in fact they were ideologically motivated in sympathy with other terrorists. I see terrorism as a very goal-oriented activity although the goals may be hidden... Maybe what we are seeing here is a kind of copy-cat behaviour, perhaps without the same end goals...?
