That blows, that has always been my fear about leaving one job to go to
another. At least it got you're a$$ in gear to learn another language.

Subject: this sucks a$$

man.. i am a bit poed.

was supposed to start my new job on Friday.
go in, & they tell me the owner is in a meeting, & that my pc isn't ready.
to go home & wait for a call from the owner & a written contract in the
mail..

so no call & no contract.

today i send a polite email to the owner reiterating our last conversation
where we agreed to salary & job responsibilities, where he shook my had
after 3 interviews & gave me the job. also that i am still excited to be a
part of this new media group that is being reformed!

then i get a call a 1/2 hour latter from the owner!
he says that the sub-co [mediaFirm] was on hold due to another restructure
in the architectural firm.. That i really don't have a job there & that he
is sorry, blah blah f00kin blah...

i would like to charge them the 12 bucks in parking
200 in php & mySql books & my time...

on a positive note.
learning PHP & mySql.
built 2 apps this week in it.

way easier then i thought.

also glad i held off on telling un-employment i found work... -paul
