My  daughter did the same thing, phoned me up from Florida, and said she wanted her 
belly pierced. I
threw  out  the old "Don't you think you are a little young?" The reply: "I'm just 
following in your
footsteps"  Ha! I told her it was fine. Piercings don't bother me at all, you get 
tired of them, you
take them out. no worries. Now, a tattoo, I would have told her to wait a few more 
years...
