Microsoft charges a subscription fee for online gaming. Right now it runs
about the price of a game.

There is no similar charge for using the PS2 console you paid for to go
online to enjoy the games you paid for.

The word 'tax' is used here, mostly because it is a charge for a service for
which you receive almost nothing. Microsoft could be charging $.25 a year
for a subscription and still make a profit, and in that way it is difficult
to justify the charge. This just looks like greed to me, and I will not pay
it.

And I could care less what people pay to play Everquest over a year! Those
people are getting reamed as well.

Blizzard does not charge you to play multiplayer Warcraft, which is better
than most of what they have on the XBOX. What makes M$ so great?
