The new content consists of things like new maps, characters, weapons
for different games. Some games will allow you to download new content
for use in the game. In the future it may be possible for users to
create their own content and publish it for download.

Pretty cool stuff, the only problem is the size of these files might be
large, there for you need the hard drive in the console.

There could also be software updates, like MS could decide to upgrade
the drivers in the system with something better. If they want to at
least.
