AFAIK, if verteran is the highest difficulty setting, than yes, he did. And
he said he hates the joysticks that come with the game, he can't find a way
to store them out of the way without having to clean out a closet.

I understand the use of progressive scan functionality and how it relates to
different screen displays and resolutions, and your comments reminds me of
my major beef with XBOX displays.

When we play games on his Sony WEGA, which is like 4 feet wide, we have
better resolution on the PS2 with its ability to set aspect ratios for each
game than we do with XBOXs. Perhaps this is because the same company makes
each device, but things get distorted beyond recognition on the XBOX no
matter how much we fiddle with the thing. On the PS2, all we have to do is
set the aspect ratio of the game to 4:3 or something like that and the thing
works great.

That being said, please don't think I am trying to dis your machine. I
mostly object to the fees placed on the right to game online.

Yes I HAVE Steel Battalion. Did he beat it on Veteran level?

Also, the progressive scan functionality is not just for watching movies,
without progressive scan higher resolutions will not work.
