The last one I remember was Ruby Ridge, so big they made a TV movie out of it. > > > To me, and many people in the US, the lives of police officers are much > > more valuable than those who attempt to kill police officers, if one of > > the officers had pulled a gun and shot the attacker, he would have been > > congratulated for saving the life of an innocent man. > > > But then you've lost a very valuable lead which probably could prevent a > terrorist attack... > True, but a police officer is valuable to the community, his loss may make it easier for a terrorist act to happen. The cop protects the streets, the people, the children, etc. The terrorist suspect may not give any valuable information at all. If I had to choose between the two, I would take a dead terrorist over a dead police officer any day, under 99.99% of the circumstances. Only if there is irrefutable proof that having the terrorist alive would prevent anything, and even then, it depends on what it prevents. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?forumid=5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?method=subscribe&forumid=5 Your ad could be here.
