Maybe I'm just lucky but my experience has been the reverse. My first inkjet was an HP 550c and that sucket lasted forever. I replaced it with a short series of Epsons (photo 700, 720? I think) and both of them gave me nothing but problems. I rarely print (less than once a week or so) and this is probably the issue but the ink in the Epsons would always congeal and I'd have to waste half the artridge cleaning the damn thing. I sh*tcanned the last one in a fit of annoyance went whole hog with an HP 950 (all in one scanner/printer/copier/fax) and love it. I can leave for a month and when I go to print, you know what? It prints! I can honestly say that after my Epsons my standards have definitely lowered. ;^) But really - the HP all-in-ones are very, very nice.
