Michael,

We turned ACFUG into a non-profit corporation a couple of years ago, and
it's the best way to keep everything above board and separated tax-wise from
those who lead the group.  Donations are tax-deductible and therefore easier
to obtain.

If you'd like some guidance getting the ball rolling, then I'll put you in
touch with Regina Stelling who did most of this work for ACFUG back when.
