That's a sad opinion to hear from a New Yorker.

The truth of the matter is that there aren't a lot of jobs in DC either. At
least, there are not a lot advertised. I saw a site on someone's blog where
they did some statistics on keywords posted on Monster. There were a lot for
C++, a lot less for java, and far, far less for Coldfusion.

I think that in DC there's a lot of CF based government contracts so its
open. In NY you need to be part of an agency to get a foot into the
companies here. A no nothing CF programmer can get a great salary if he's an
agency man while a god of CF can't do jack unless he sells his soul. Sucks
to be in NY. :(
