I wonder how strict they are on a degree? I've had tech jobs before were they wanted a degree but I had enough real world experience so they didn't care. And I think we have all worked with that one person who had a degree but knew nothing of "real" applications because everything they learned was in a classroom setting.
Sometimes I think that they ask for a degree just to weed out the "riff-raff" IMHO ~~Dan -----Original Message----- From: Deanna Schneider [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, February 26, 2003 10:48 AM To: CF-Community Subject: Re: The Job Market Or, it might be these requirements: A BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent A minimum of 4 years experience in web applications development I don't know many folks doing CF that actually have a degree, and lots of people I know are right around 3-4 years experience. -d ----- Original Message ----- From: "Haggerty, Mike" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "CF-Community" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, February 26, 2003 9:24 AM Subject: RE: The Job Market > You probably have point. > > I am going to wait, the job announcement is really for more of an Oracle > person.
